These 'photo paintings' are the basis for my next project called 'The Sublime and Moving Space Between Them', a quote from a Rilke poem where he's talking about trees. I'm fascinated by the whole notion of relationships and I think the idea of space as a 'moving' description of how relationships operate a great subject for painting. I have about 90 of these small A6 photo paintings and I'll choose a selection to make paintings from.
