This is one of a pair of Crowd Scene paintings I did for my 2010 degree show.

Postcard Abstracts 2007

These small postcard paintings were my first attempt at some abstract work. I literally cut up a large photographic image from the Independent newspaper and painted what I found on each  separate piece. 

Limited Space Series 2 2012

The performance artist Ruth Barker emailed me an image of her taken in the Glasgow School of Art , she was wearing a strange red voluminous garment and was barefoot. The colours of the image were rich and had  various light and shade effects going on and she was kind enough to email the rest of the images from the project.

Limited Space Series 1 2012

I became increasingly interested in the psychological space suggested between painted figures. In these cropped scenes the viewer can make real or imagined interpretations of the scene.

MFA Exhibition 2012

My Masters final exhibition in 2012 consisted of 4 series of paintings. Paintings on board, paintings on card, paintings on wooden blocks and one large work on canvas. The work was based on a relationship between 2 people where time and space is non specific. The ambiguous figures fill the spaces with their silence and the viewer becomes part of the awkward silence.
